Monarch Makerspace
Explore student-created craftivism pieces from the 2025 Raise, Tag, and Release (RTR) Summer Program, in collaboration with youth-led project Roots & Reflections.
Artivism
/ˈɑːr.tɪ.vɪ.zəm/ noun
the practice of creating art to promote social, political, environmental, or economic change; the intersection of art and activism.
In collaboration with youth-led project Roots & Reflections, Monarchs Matter is blending creativity with activism in the 2025 Raise, Tag, and Release (RTR) Summer Program.
Incorporating student-created artwork into the ReWild Dodge Garden, the space is reimagined as not only a place to grow food, but a sanctuary to pause, reflect, and appreciate a piece of the natural world within the suburbs of Port Washington.
