About Us
Monarchs Matter is an environmental nonprofit organization based in Long Island, New York dedicated to combating biodiversity loss and climate change by sharing the captivating story and metamorphosis of the monarch butterfly.
With the eastern migratory monarch population declining more than 80% in the last three decades, we take action by restoring monarch habitat in the US and Mexico, raising awareness through community workshops and international webinars, and empowering youth to fight biodiversity loss in our Raise, Tag, and Release (RTR) Summer Program.
